THE “THOUGHT GRENADE”: HOW TRUMP SHATTERS PARADIGMS

Today I’m coining a new phrase for you to use: “thought grenade.” It’s the clearest way I know to help you understand Trump’s governing and leadership style as I observe it, and why there is such hysteria amongst his opponents—and sometimes even supporters. Let’s begin.

No doubt you, and those you talk to or hear from, have been stunned by the warp speed at which the new President and his team seem to be attacking all problems at once. For sure there were years of preparation and study put into this in advance, in the event the American people would send him back to the White House.

Well, we did. And now the whirlwind is upon us. To some of you it is hilarious, exhilarating, freeing, and offering much hope. To others of you, it may be scary and is challenging all your presupposed ideas about issues and their solutions, and an acceptable speed of activity. And to others who wish us all harm, it is flat out terrifying.

I don’t wish to offer any comfort to those who have suppressed us and attempted to enslave us over the last years—all the while claiming they were saving our “democracy.” As far as I am concerned they can lose sleep, they can become paranoid, they can hide, they can scream, they can sing ludicrous songs, and they can suffer a nervous breakdown. Given that they helped shepherd America into a psychotic break from 2016 to the present, this is their reward.

But I can, I believe, help all of you understand a bit better how Trump thinks and works. This should be calming to any of you who feel it is all happening so fast, and it is so far “outside the box” that you can’t seem to keep up, or you can’t evaluate the short-term and long-term consequences of some of these sweeping changes. I assure you, you can. We just need to pick up some speed ourselves and exercise a little faith.

Here’s what I have observed Trump do that infuriates some and scares others. He shatters paradigms, and he does it by dropping “thought grenades” into the conversation, producing an explosion. He’s not blowing things up, as you will hear Democrats and liberal pundits say. He’s not exploding the Constitution. He’s not abandoning our heritage or undermining the supposed righteousness of the Republican and Conservative causes.

What he does do is challenge you all to think, really think. And his “thought grenades” surely do that. Every time he drops some new controversial nomination or Executive Order or recommended change, he does it in a way that shakes up the collective paradigms we have been accustomed to, and that is unsettling. Moreover, it forces us to really look. Those of you who know me and know my novels know that all I did to unlock what was being done to us was change the angle of view, and that revealed a different picture. That is what Trump is doing. He wants you to look. And he trusts that once you can see what he sees, you have the creativity and initiative to handle the situation. He may be the only true optimist in Washington!

Let’s discuss paradigm first. This will help everyone understand why he is so effective. He may say and do some shocking things, but he is effective. And he understands that our paradigms and the actions we have subsequently taken because of that thought process have led the United States into a world of hurt. We may have always had the best of intentions, but our paradigms affected the choices and the path our nation has been on.

A paradigm is defined in contemporary parlance as: a standard, perspective, or set of ideas. A paradigm is a way of looking at something. American Heritage dictionary defines it as “the conceptual framework that permits the explanation and investigation of phenomena…”

My wheelhouse is Perception Management and I look always for how someone may be influencing your perceptions, knowing that if they do that, you will make different decisions and take different actions, thus achieving different results. The villains in my novels—who are real, by the way—specialize in this type of warfare. It is known as PsyOps and Fifth Generation Warfare.

But innocuously our paradigms are just our way of looking at something. We have perspective on issues based upon life experience or education, and we have formed sets of ideas especially as it relates to problem solving. I have mine and you have yours.

What I believe Donald Trump spotted is that those paradigms have been locked in so severely in Washington, DC that even the “good guys” cannot see or perceive the truth of things anymore, let alone in a swift effective way create solutions to the issues we face. It does not matter whether it relates to the Health of Americans, the Education of Americans, the strength of the family, the freedom to exercise your First Amendment rights, the Wealth of Americans, the overall well-being of Americans, or our position in the world and in foreign affairs.

Our government has become a calcified behemoth that has waded into all aspects of Americans’ lives, and the Swamp, the Deep State, the Administrative State—or whatever you choose to call it—has developed a way of looking at something, and behaving as a result. What these last few years have demonstrated to you I know is that that monstrosity is no longer acting in your best interests. Washington appears to be swayed more by the paradigms of the lobbyists and special interest groups, and less by we the people—for whom they work.

So Trump has a challenge, doesn’t he? How does he get your attention, and how does he get the bureaucrats in Washington and, more importantly, the political leaders in Washington to see what he sees and start to really work for the American people?

Simply put, he drops a grenade into the conversation. He drops some new, shocking idea into the conversation with enough force and element of surprise that it shocks everyone off from the “automatic pilot” they have been coasting on, and forces them to stop, look, think, evaluate and decide. This can be very disconcerting since it is a natural human trait that we like to make one decision one time, and not have to revisit it. So, we don’t. We stumble along. The world may have changed, but our answers have not. And that is because we have not stopped to do a reinspection of the situation and the context.

When we do, we see things differently. We get over our shock, and we use our own minds once again, and our own creativity and imagination to create a new idea in a new time. Trump appears to have done that with his Cabinet choices etc. Each one in their own right is shaking up paradigms all over the country, and especially in Washington. So, Trump drops the “thought grenade” into your life and it shocks you at first, maybe even seems crazy. But what Trump understands is that once you are awake again—even if looking at some totally unconventional, shocking idea—you are awake, and a situation long camouflaged is now visible. He may present a solution, or he may let one of his Team present a solution.

What he wants is ideas! I have watched him time and time again put forth an idea, only to be smacked as if he had dropped a nuclear bomb into the Washington scene. And he either stands his ground, or he lets people scream, holler and yell over the idea until they settle down and begin to find something right about the solution, or even more importantly discover that the status quo is no longer working. And it can’t be “tweaked” back into viability. The paradigms that led to the status quo have to be shattered.

Once they are, then what appears in front of you is a clean slate. There is no “box.” Geniuses don’t think in boxes. They don’t even see them. They see a problem or a vision, and the field is cleared for them to begin to create. Donald J. Trump is that kind of thinker.

I personally really appreciate his “thought grenades” because they cause me to stop, look, and evaluate.

Some paradigms are still valid. Some are not. And if we are to succeed in restoring America to its greatness, I firmly believe we must be in “present time”—looking squarely at the true issues today. And we may want to also examine some of the thought process of our Founders.

So don’t be afraid. Don’t be too shocked. He’s just waking us—and all other world leaders as well—and bringing us into 2025. You are the boss!

I will elaborate further about this in the Podcast, and also in a Part Two next week about “The Turnaround Guy” and his role in our restoration.
